FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got questions? We’ve got answers!
Below are answers to some of the most common questions we get from parents about our classes, programs, and studio experience.   If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to contact us — we’re here to help!

Question 1

What age groups do you cater for?

We offer creative sessions for a wide range of age groups:

  • After-School Workshops – Designed for primary school children (Ages 6 - 12).

  • School Holiday Workshops – Fun and engaging 3-hour sessions for kids aged 7 and up, including all materials, snacks, and drinks.

  • Teen and Adult Workshops – Ages 13+ art classes that are perfect for beginners or anyone looking to unwind, try something new, or reconnect with their creative side - no experience needed!

Question 2

Do I need to stay with my child during the class?

For our After-School Art Sessions and School Holiday Programs, parents don’t need to stay - these classes are designed as drop-off sessions to help kids build independence and enjoy focused, creative time.

That said, if it’s your child’s first time and they’re feeling a little unsure, you’re more than welcome to stay nearby for a bit. There’s a McDonald’s just a few hundred metres away in Yallambie if you’d like to relax with a cuppa while you wait.

We just ask that children arrive on time and are picked up promptly at the end of the session.

Question 3

What does my child need to bring to the class?

We’ve got all the art supplies covered — paints, brushes, aprons, canvases, and more — so there’s no need to bring anything for the creative side of things!

Please feel free to bring a small nut-free snack to enjoy before or during the class.
Please also pack a water bottle to keep them hydrated during class.

Question 4

What happens if I miss a class? / Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that life gets busy. Because our classes are small and carefully prepared, we’re unable to offer make-up classes or refunds for missed sessions due to illness, holidays, or other personal commitments. In some cases (such as extended illness and with notice), we may be able to offer a credit at our discretion.

Little Art Studio is a small, boutique studio with limited places, and materials are prepared in advance.

  • For term classes, cancellations made more than 14 days before the term starts are eligible for a full refund (excluding any booking fees). Cancellations within 14 days are not refundable, though a credit may be offered at the studio’s discretion.

  • For school holiday programs and workshops, cancellations made more than 7 days before the session may receive a refund or credit. Within 7 days, refunds aren’t available unless the place can be filled from a waitlist.

  • No-shows are not refundable.

If Little Art Studio needs to cancel a class or workshop, you’ll always be offered a full refund or a credit.

If you’re unsure or have special circumstances, feel free to reach out - we’re always happy to chat before you book.

Question 5

Q: Are you qualified and insured to run children’s art sessions?

A: Absolutely, safety and professional standards are my top priority at Little Art Studio.

  • Safety & Compliance: I hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and current First Aid qualifications.

  • Insurance: I am fully insured for all Little Art Studio activities and events through the National Association for Visual Arts (NAVA).

My commitment to teaching is backed by both professional training and creative passion. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Diploma in Counselling, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. Combining this teaching experience with my expertise as a self-taught artist—including completing numerous courses in acrylic painting, pottery, ceramics, and sewing- I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for every child.
