We are dedicated to making space for creativity, connection, and wellbeing for kids, teens, and adults alike. In a world that’s often busy and screen-filled, we offer something different: a chance to slow down, take some time out, and experience the simple pleasure of creating something with your own hands.

🙋‍♀️ About Me: Maria — Founder, Teacher, and Artist

Hi, I’m Maria! I am a self-taught artist, a qualified teacher, and a lifelong maker.

For as long as I can remember, creating has been my way of navigating the world. I believe that creativity is a beautiful gift we’ve been given to explore—a way to reflect the beauty of the world around us. What began as a personal hobby has evolved into my life’s work: a source of healing,
reflection, and connection.

While I love exploring everything from sewing and pottery to photography, I find a special peace in painting landscapes. To me, capturing the grandeur of nature is a way of honoring the incredible design found in the world.

Art is meant to be shared, and I believe every person is created with a unique imagination worth celebrating. I founded Little Art Studio to be a warm, inclusive sanctuary where that creativity can flourish.

I often hear people say, "I'm just not an artist." If that’s you, you are exactly who I built this studio for. I believe that beauty comes from a spirit of openness and a willingness to try. Here, you are welcome just as you are—a place where your "spark" is recognised and valued.

👩‍🏫 My Background & Professional Experience

I bring a unique "toolkit" to every class I lead, blending professional training with a heart for serving others.

The Self-Taught Journey: I am a proud self-taught artist. I’ve built my skills through years of curiosity—devouring countless books, taking specialized courses, and practicing daily. I know the joy of "finding your way," and I love helping others discover that same path.
Qualified Teacher: With experience across Primary and Secondary education, I love the "lightbulb moments" when a student masters a new skill.
Counselling Diploma: This training helps me foster a nurturing, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels safe to express themselves.
10 Years in IT: My decade in Information Technology taught me the value of structure—and exactly how much we all need a creative outlet to balance a busy life.

Beyond the studio, my life is rooted in my faith and family. I am an active volunteer in my local church and wider community, and I've been happily married for 20 years with two amazing teenagers who keep my heart full.
