Helping young artists build skills, confidence and creativity.  Not just crafts. Not just painting. A structured art education program in a small-group studio environment.

At Little Art Studio, our Kids Art Classes are designed to nurture creativity while providing children with a foundation in artistic techniques, art appreciation and creative thinking.

Rather than creating the same type of artwork week after week, students are introduced to a diverse range of artistic styles, materials and concepts.

Our goal is to help children discover the many possibilities within art while developing confidence in their own creative abilities.
 

What we offer:

• We are passionate about art!  We offer 90-minute weekly painting sessions, perfect for regular creative engagement after school.

• We focus on enhancing their painting skills. Working with various mediums and textures such acrylics, oil pastels and water colours, your child's artistic techniques will blossom through the term.

• Children progressively build skills, working through a curriculum with themed projects including landscapes, still life, and imaginative creations.

• Small groups (maximum of 8 children) ensure high-quality personalised attention and a collaborative atmosphere.   This boutique approach allows every child to receive individual attention, personalised feedback and support tailored to their skill level and learning style.

Designed for children aged 5 to 12 years, our classes nurture creativity, self-expression, and artistic growth in a fun and encouraging environment.  Students should be comfortable participating independently in a 90-minute session, as each class guides children through the complete creative process, from inspiration and planning to a finished artwork they can proudly take home.

What Kids Learn Each Week:

Each week, children explore new art techniques and creative skills while discovering a different artist as inspiration. ​

• Drawing fundamentals

• Colour theory

• Acrylic painting

• Watercolour techniques

• Mixed media projects

• Composition and design

• Texture and pattern

• Perspective

• Printmaking

• Sculpture and 3D art

• Creative experimentation

• Artist of the Week. Each week students are introduced to a different artist from history or the contemporary art world. By exploring a wide variety of artists, children develop an appreciation for art history while discovering new ways of seeing and creating.
   

This varied curriculum keeps classes engaging while helping children build a broad range of artistic skills over time.  By the end of the term, children will have developed  skills, a wider artistic toolkit, and a portfolio of fun, take-home artworks.

What are the class fees for Term 3:

• Full Term: $380 for 10 x 90-minute sessions (payable upfront via credit card or bank transfer. Please note: A small 2.5% fee applies to credit card payments. You can choose bank transfer or PAYID to avoid this fee.)

• All materials are included. Each child takes home their artwork every week

• Small groups of 6 children per class ensure individual attention and guidance

What we provide:

• Quality canvas, paper, or project materials

• Acrylic paints and painting supplies

• Brushes, palettes, pencils, and drawing tools

• Aprons to help protect clothing

• Step-by-step guidance and instruction

• A small class environment for personalised support

What children need to bring:

• A drink bottle

• An afternoon snack - especially if coming straight from school.

• Comfortable clothes suitable for art-making. Aprons are provided, however we recommend wearing clothing that can get a little messy just in case.

• Positivity, imagination and enthusiasm for creating! 

Why Enrol for the Full Term?

Our weekly classes are designed to build on the skills learned each week, helping children develop confidence, technique, and creativity over time.  ​Signing up for the full term ensures your child gets the complete learning experience, with projects that gradually introduce new skills and opportunities to apply and expand what they learned in previous weeks.

Flexible Joining

Students can join at any time during the term.

• Pay $38 per remaining session for the rest of the term

• Covers all remaining weeks, including materials and take-home artwork

• This is not a weekly pay-as-you-go option. You pay for all remaining classes upfront. Please contact us to arrange this. 

• Strictly subject to class availability.

When do classes run:

Kids art classes run during the school term.  There are 10-Weeks in Term 3 which commences July 13th and concludes September 18th.
